Question:
Is there a rate limit to the number of requests?
If we push through too many requests, will we be notified?
Will the system lock us out of our account if we hit the upper limit?
Answer:
COS systems are scaled well-above our expected number of requests. There is currently no hard rate limit in the system. Our alert system notifies us quickly if an abnormal load is received, and we will notify you if we see abnormal behavior from your users.
Rate limiting generally doesn't lock out accounts but you may have to stop processing requests for a short period of time.
